Organise your wedding in a historic and sightseeing place ! The Château du Rivau and its fairytale gardens, a magnificent place that Joan of Arc and Rabelais will never forget, offers you the ideal setting for organising your receptions, weddings and other events.
Receive your guests in the Toison d’Or (the Golden Fleece) room. You can enjoy your cocktail in a unique atmosphere in the neighbouring wine press house. And on warm summer evenings, your guests can experience the 15 gardens of the castle’s gardens, which are classified as « gardens worth seeing », as well as the magic of the illuminated castle.
The 7 double rooms of our 4-stars-hotel, located in the Royal Stables, offer you moments of unique relaxation in a refined and cosy atmosphere.
The receptions rooms
Reception room of the Golden Fleece
The Golden Fleece Reception Room, located opposite the castle and in front of the Gargantua vegetable garden, will give your reception an incomparable and refined touch. The tufa walls, the acoustics, the illuminated beams and the cosy wall hangings depicting the Knights of the Golden Fleece offer authenticity, architectural sophistication and comfort.

– 250 seats at tables for 10 people without a dance floor,
– 200 seats at tables for 8-10 people with a dance floor.
The wine press house
The House of the Wine Press, an original, semi-covered space, exudes the charm of Rabelais’s time. An ideal place for wines of honour, cocktails and summer events.

– 150 seats at round tables for 8 to 10 people.

The 7 rooms of the 4-star Hotel Château du Rivau will transport you back in time with pleasure, cheerfulness and splendour. They offer a unique view of the 15 garden and the castle.
